The Epistle is Now Available Online

The Epistle is our monthly newsletter, mailed to the congregation at the beginning of each month.  If you don't happen to have your copy with you, we've made them available online.  Check them out here!

Annual Chicken BBQ

This year our annual chicken BBQ is scheduled for Sat. September 11.  This annual event is a fellowship gathering for our congregation that also serves as a community-wide event where visitors are invited to tour our church and review our program offerings. This event also provides a fund raising opportunity for the United Methodist Men and Women.

The success of this event is largely dependent on a significant group on volunteers. Among the areas we will need your help are BBQ pit set up and tear down, publicity, food coordinating, purchasing, and cooking, and facility set up, tear down and clean up.  This is not a complete list of jobs, but you get the idea, it takes many of us for this event to be successful. Volunteer sign-ups begin Sunday August 1st.  Planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday August 26 @ 7:00.  For more information, contact Joe Meyers or Dick Mathias

Annual Conference Report

In June, several of our church members attended the Pacific NW Annual Conference at the University of Puget Sound.  Carol Colborne, Lyndall Foulds and Donna Stock were lay members for our church and Jerry Flagel attended by virtue of his office as chairman of the PNW Conference Board of Pensions.  During the four-day conference several other church members attended the worship services and the sessions with the key-note speaker, Rev. Adam Hamilton.   Read the report here.
