Pride Month

The Heart for Others team would like to share with you the activities in store for June, which is Pride Month:
6/13 (Saturday) - Fairwood Community Pride Parade, 10-11am
6/21 (Sunday) - Mitch Hunter, guest speaker in service
6/28 (Sunday) - Join/march in Seattle Pride Parade (after service at Fairwood)

Please mark your calendars, wear your pride colors, and join in!

Pride walk in Fairwood Saturday June 13th
The Fairwood neighborhood Pride Parade is about 1 mile long, beginning and
ending at our church (15255 SE Fairwood Blvd, Renton, WA). Join us at 10:00am
on Saturday, June 13, as we celebrate PRIDE month!

Graduate Sunday
Next Sunday, June 7th, is Senior Sunday! We are excited to celebrate High School
and College graduates!

Peace with Justice Sunday
On Peace with Justice Sunday, United Methodists come together to speak out for
justice and peace. Grounded in our Social Principles, we are called to love our
enemies, seek justice, and serve as peacemakers in a world longing for healing. We
renew our commitment to transform the world by working across nations, reducing
reliance on weapons, and addressing the root causes of conflict with lasting, just
solutions.
There will be a special offering today, May 31st, for Peace with Justice Sunday. You
can give online at our website (fairwoodumc.org/give). There will also be a QR
code you can scan in the bulletin to donate, or you can give to the offering plate
during worship.
 
Conversations with the Pastors - Today
Whether you’re new to Fairwood Community United Methodist Church or have been
with us for many years, you’re all welcome to a time after worship today, May 31st,
to talk with our pastors. It’s an informal way to get to know each other better. Join
us!
