Fairwood United Methodist Church can, at times, offer financial assistance through the Community Assistance Program.

To request emergency assistance please provide the following: (Updated 4/26)

Small Scale
– Form and copy of Picture ID or Driver’s License

Emergency Assistance
-Utility bills, disconnection notice, medical bills, or other documents that demonstrates one’s need where you owe $4,000 or less.
– Form and copy of Picture ID or Driver’s License

Policies:

    • -Applicants must have a mailing address in Renton or Kent
    • -Applicants can only receive help once every year
    • -Applicants are not permitted to solicit directly from church members.
    • Payments are issued to designated landlord, utility provider, clinic, etc., NOT the applicant
    • Frequent requests are subjet to the discretion of CAP Team.
    • The CAP team may request an in-person meeting with an applicant.

Small-scale assistance: transportation, gas, meals, work-related gear (e.g. work shoes or uniform)

Emergency assistance:  utility assistance, rental help, medical bills,other emergency cases where you owe $4,000 or less. Applicants need to make an appointment with the Assistance Program Team for assessment.
