Rest Your Stress

It’s back. The Health Ministry Committee will be having two more ‘Rest Your Stress’ sessions on October 18 and November 22. Our own Jennifer Soames, a licensed massage therapist, will provide 2-3 minute massages per person. In addition, we’ll have a short group session on deep breathing techniques led by Lauri Johnsen that you can use throughout the day to help you relieve stress. Blood pressure readings will also be offered. You might want to take your blood pressure before and after your massage or breathing exercises to see your results. The massages will be held in the MPR in between church services and the breathing techniques and blood pressures will be conducted in a smaller room nearby that is more conducive to relaxation.
