Church “Gardening Group”
Improving our Church grounds
You may have noticed that some areas on our church grounds are
looking better lately. A dedicated group of gardeners has been working
since this spring – spraying horsetail, trimming, weeding, and removing
some dead trees and shrubs, suckers, and overhanging limbs, as well as
watering. Many thanks go to Joanne Flagel, Janet Wildeboor, Mary Kay
Bailey, Justin Tracey, Deanna Hirota, Bill Freitag, Kirk Larsen,
Lyndall Foulds, Sharon Hinton, Sharon and Jeff Kenyon, Priscilla
and Will Clardy, and Vera Zimmerman, and all those who participated in
the last work party.
We plan to continue improving our grounds with the help of the
“Gardening Group” committee, work parties, and the Trustees as we
move into this fall. We hope to add some new plantings in the front
area, and continue to clear out other areas - with the goal of giving
our church a more inviting appearance with easier maintenance.
We hope you will join us for the upcoming work party on and Sunday,
Sept. 6, from 10:45 to 2:00. Bring your gardening tools and join us to
tackle specific jobs in selected areas as we continue to make
improvements.
