The church hiking group is planning an aggressive hike for Saturday, June 30.  It will be 8 miles with an elevation gain of 1500' and will probably involve hiking in some snow.   It's a one way hike starting at Chinook Pass and going north on the Pacific Crest Trail about 3 miles to Sourdough Gap.  Then if there is not too much snow, take the trail to Upper Crystal Lake in Mt Rainier National Park.  From there hike down to the trail head on Mather Memorial Parkway.

Plan to be gone all day.  Bring your lunch and water.  Meet at the church at 8:00 AM to arrange carpools.  Contact Allan Forrest for questions.
